Dr David Mackenzie graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (University of Guelph) in 1988 with his Bachelor of Science & Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
He spent his first 5 years practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada. This practice saw a wide variety of animals: cats, dogs, lions, tigers and 15ft pythons! In 1993 he returned to Canada and worked at a clinic in Langley and then North Vancouver.
In 1999, Dr Mackenzie decided he wanted to do it 'his way' and purchased the Fort Langley Veterinary Clinic.
Dr Dave has interests in all aspects of small animal medicine but particularly enjoys senior care, dental care and preventative medicine.
He currently has three fur-kids at home. A cat named 'Finnegan' who is a mischievious fellow with a loud voice and a strong opinion! Another cat named 'Cherry' who is full of personality and always up to something! And a little dog named 'Lily' who is only small in size and is Dr Dave's shadow.
When Dr Dave is not at the clinic he can be found hiking, reading a good book, trying out new restaurants, listening to music or heading off on a road trip!
